Bonaire is a small island off the coast of Venezuela in the southern part of the Caribbean, a nine-hour flight from the Netherlands and approximately five hours from New York.
Bonaire is known for its sunny climate, pristine nature, turquoise seas, white sandy beaches, picturesque underwater world and its first-class diving, snorkeling and windsurfing facilities.
Called "the best kept secret", "Place of absolute peace" and "paradise for diving enthusiasts". One of the charms of Bonaire is the limited size of the island. This makes everything easily accessible and everyone can enjoy Bonaire's treasures. As a tourist you will feel the relaxing and peaceful atmosphere of the island.

Accommodation
Enjoy 7 nights of accommodation in a Junior Laguna Suite at the Plaza Beach Resort. The Junior Suite Laguna is a very spacious and stylishly decorated room with a beautiful view of the azure lagoon and the marina. Rooms are equipped with a terrace or balcony, two kingsize beds, air-conditioning, flat screen TV, a safe, a kettle for tea and coffee. Upgrade to Ocean-front Grand Ocean Suite rooms also available.
Yoga
Partake in daily morning Yoga and Meditation sessions with Instructor Amanda Parr at our beachfront Yoga space. On some days there will also be a special afternoon workshop on offer. With mindfulness at the heart of each practice, sessions will vary between traditional Hatha and Yin Yoga styles, with a special emphasis on concepts and techniques beneficial for divers . All sessions are carefully instructed to suit practitioners of all levels of experience, including beginners.
Snorkeling and Scuba Diving
Explore unlimited Snorkeling and Scuba Diving at 18th Palm, the stunning house reef at the Plaza Beach Resort. Diver packages include unlimited air or Nitrox fills and scuba weights. Other equipment can be rented for an additional charge. You can also opt to rent a pick-up truck or join other group members on dive excursions to 60+ dive sites accessible from shore on the island. Daily boat dives are also available from the resort for an additional cost. As a protected National Marine Park, Bonaire hosts beautiful coral reefs with abundant wildlife as well as long forgotten shipwrecks. Because the island’s dive sites are protected from currents, this is one of the best places in the world to snorkel and dive.
Daily Meals, Open Bar , and Entertainment
Indulge in inclusive daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets at the Tipsy Seagull Restaurant onsite at the Plaza Beach Resort. You are also entitled to unlimited house-brand alcohol and soft drinks at the resort bars. Entertainment, including mariachi and steel drum bands are a regular part of cheery evenings in the resort.
You can also opt to dine in one of 3 different restaurants on the resort or travel 15 minutes to the capital of Kralendijk, which has many restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets where you can find almost any kind of food items that you could want.
PADI Yoga Diver Specialty Certification
Diver packages include the PADI Yoga Diver Distinctive Specialty Course, taught by the original course author. Through a combination of E-learning, knowledge development discussion, land-based Yoga/Meditation practice, and 2 open water training dives, you will learn how to use foundational Yoga concepts to improve buoyancy and gas consumption, overcome fear and anxiety, and nurture a soulful connection with the underwater world.
Try Diving, Learn to Dive, Continuing Education
In addtion to snorkeling, non-certified divers can opt to participate in an Introductory Scuba Diving lesson or get certified by completing the PADI Open Water course (full course or referral). Certified Divers can upgrade their scuba experience with a PADI continuing education course, such as Advanced Open Water, or a specialty course like Deep Diver, Night Diver, or Wreck Diver, to name a few. Certified divers who haven't been in the water for awhile can refresh their skills with a Scuba Refresher class.
Flexible Schedule
Because the house reef and other resort amenities are always readily available, there is no rigid schedule. You can snorkel/dive whenever and as little or as much as you like (while staying within your no-decompression limits, of course). All Yoga/Meditation sessions are optional. Each day is yours to choose your own adventure, whether that be lounging at the beach or by the pool, diving the house reef, kayaking/paddle-boarding, or sightseeing the island. Or perhaps you would like to pamper yourself with a private yoga session or Thai Yoga Massage with Amanda or book a treatment at the resort spa.
Friendly, Social Environment
Amanda is co-hosting this trip alongside a large group of divers that visit Bonaire every year from the United States. So if you are traveling alone you don't need to worry about feeling lonely or having a lack of dive buddies. With the buffet meals, open bar, and nightly entertainment, the resort offers a lively atmosphere for socializing and meeting new friends. This will no doubt lead to plenty of opportunities to join others on social, sightseeing and dive excursions around the island if you so desire.

Centrally located with stunning sea views, The Plaza Beach Resort is an all-inclusive resort located right on the beach where you can snorkel, scuba dive, and admire one of the most beautiful reefs of the island. From the resort you have a beautiful view of Klein Bonaire.
The Plaza is only 5 minutes from the airport, and only 5 minutes from the cozy capital of Kralendijk, with nice restaurants, shops and bars. Various places of interest such as Washington Slagbaai, Gotomeer, Mangroves, Rincon and Salt Pans are all just 15 minutes from the resort. You can also visit the beautiful uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire by boat.
