Originally from America's heartland, Amanda has been traveling and living in diverse environments around the globe for more than 25+ years, allowing her to explore different perspectives of Yoga, and life in general. She began her Yoga journey in 1999 and has been sharing her practice professionally since 2005.
With a down-to-earth approach, touch of humor, and sense of adventure, Amanda honors the traditional foundations of Yoga and specializes in weaving them into the fabric of every day experiences. With mindfulness at the heart of each practice, her aim is to awaken participants to the power of the present moment and help them find their balance of strength and softness both on and off the mat.

With a foundation of mindfulness and loving-kindness, Amanda guides you into easeful positions, offering assisted stretching to body tissues, while intuitively applying pressure to areas of muscular tension and sweeping of the energetic channels. This is a unique therapeutic offering combining the benefits of a private Yin Yoga session, Massage, and intuitive healing techniques. While in supported Yin Yoga postures, Amanda will guide you to use visualization and mindful breathwork to direct the vital life force and clear tension patterns and energetic obstacles. During and in between postures, Amanda will use Yoga Massage techniques to aid the process of release and cleansing.
Inspired by the words of the revered Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh, you will be guided to approach this scenic hike as a mindfulness meditation, inspiring a deep inner awareness and communion with nature. After moderate hike through the lush rainforest, we will continue our meditation surrounded by the tranquil sounds of a small waterfall. Bring your swimsuit if you'd like to plunge in it's refreshing pool! Afterwards we stop for a therapeutic dip in the Charlestown Volcanic Hot Springs.
What a better way to wind down your day than by watching the sun disappear below the horizon while being guided through a relaxing beach Yoga and Meditation session. Come early for a refreshing sea bath. After class try some traditional, vegan, Rastafarian "Ital" food and stay for the cool, down-to-earth vibes at Pinneys Beach.
Learn how to use foundational Yoga concepts and techniques to address anxiety as well as improve focus, composure, air consumption, buoyancy, and relationship with the underwater world. Beginners can try the Yoga-Scuba experience which includes Yoga/Meditation instruction and an introductory Scuba Diving Lesson. Certified divers can upgrade their dive education with the PADI Yoga Diver Specialty course, taught by the original course author.

This is the old school practice of using Asanas (physical exercises) and Pranayama (breathing techniques) to prepare the body for the deeper aspects of Yoga. Hatha is a combination of two Sanskrit words, "Ha"and "Tha" ("Sun and Moon") describing a balance of opposite yet interdependent energies. Pursuing this balance in our Yoga asanas not only helps us avoid injury, but allows us to lay a foundation for expanded awareness and inspire this same balance of effort/ease, in our life off the mat.
Yin Yoga focuses on the "tha" aspects of the practice. By sinking and releasing into postures for longer durations we let gravity and our own body weight do the work. This practice targets the deep connective tissue and enables the release of long-held tension patterns, cleanses the energetic channels, and encourages a healthy flow and balance of the vital life force energy.
Meditation in Motion. Vinyasa is a Sanskrit word that translates as "to place in a special way". It refers to conscious, deliberate movement. Vinyasa is a more active asana practice where we focus on coordinating body, breath, and mind through a series of movements that flow from one into the next.

Yoga is an ancient system of observances, techniques, and practices that promote a healthy body, a calm and composed mind, and create a foundation for higher awareness. “Yoga” is a Sanskrit word that translates as “union”. Closer to the surface, this union manifests as a joining of body and mind, a balance of the physical and subtle energies that we are made of. At the deepest level, Yoga can be interpreted as a “yoking” of the individual consciousness with the universal consciousness, a bonding of Self and the Divine.
